南京出土明代陕西布政使司左参议王徽墓志考释

The Examination and Interpretation of the Epitaph of Wang Hui, the Left Assistant Administration Commissioner of the Shaanxi Provincial Administration Commission of the Ming Dynasty, Unearthed in Nanjing

近年南京出土的明代名臣陕西布政使司左参议王徽墓志,详细记载了王徽的生平事迹,对开展相关问题的研究具有重要的学术价值。墓志经重新释读,不仅订正了以往释文中错误,而且还与史料中录文相校正,对一些问题得出更为全面的认识。如《明史》本传记王徽于宪宗朝疏陈四事,今据墓志并与其他史料相印证,实为五事;王徽弹劾牛玉而被贬普安,墓志详录其于普安之事迹,此可补益相关史料。

The epitaph of Wang Hui, the left assistant administration commissioner of the Shaanxi Provincial Administration Commission of the Ming Dynasty, unearthed in Nanjing, recorded the life and career of this famous official, and provided valuable academic data for the studies on the relevant issues. The reinterpretation of this epitaph, not only corrected the errors of the past interpretations, but also provided cross-references with the contents in the historical textual materials and comprehensive understandings to some issues. For example, in Wang Hui＇s biography in Mingshi （the History of Ming）, it was recorded that in the reign of Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty, Wang Hui presented memorial on four issues to the emperor; by cross-reference of the epitaph and historical textual materials, it is revealed that his memorial was actually on five issues; because of impeaching Niu Yu, a powerful eunuch, Wang Hui has been once banished to Pu＇an in Guizhou; the epitaph detailedly recorded his deeds in Pu＇an, which can supplement the relevant historical records.
