摘要
印度、缅甸和泰国在2002年提出共建一条连接三国的国际高速公路,以促进三国及地区间的交流合作,虽然2003年,该工程就已开工,但是截至目前却依然未通车。本文试图从该国际高速公路本身出发,以印度视角来论述其建设背景、现状,从而指出这条高速公路的建设对印度带来的重要影响,同时也进一步指出该高速公路的建设给印度所带来的政治效应将远远大于经济效果。
In 2002, India, Myanmar and Thailand initiated an international highway project linking the three countries togather so as to enhance the exchange and cooperation among them. The project, notwithstanding started from 2003, has not been operationalized as yet. This paper attempted to understand the background and present condition of the project and discussed its impacts( more of political nature than of economic nature) to India.
