Design Key Points of Safety Shower and Eyewash in a Waterworks in Iraq

安全喷淋洗眼器是接触酸、碱、有机物等有毒有害场所必备的应急保护措施。简单介绍了国内外安全喷淋洗眼器的相关标准规范及其设计要求,阐述了安全喷淋洗眼器的分类及用水量等设置的一般要求及其运行维护要求。结合伊拉克某水厂实例,考虑危险源、现场常年水温、水源情况及要求不超过15 m的保护半径等因素,在化学加药间、电池室及实验室分别设置复合式洗眼器、立式洗眼器及台式洗眼器,选用的洗眼器符合ANSI Z358.1标准,水源水质满足当地生活用水卫生标准。

Safety shower and eyewash is the necessary emergency protective measures to prevent harm fromacid, alkali, organic matter and other poisonous. This paper introduces the domestic and over- seas related design standards and requirements for safety shower and eyewash. The general requirements including classification, water demand and maintains are concluded. Give the example of a waterworks in Iraq, the combination, plumbed and desk eyewashes are set in the chemical injection room, battery room and laboratory under situations of hazard source, water temperature in site, source of water and the re- quirement of protection radius no more than 15 m. The design code of eyewash is ANSI Z358.1 and the source water quality meets the local water standard.
