The present article addressed method, indications, contraindications of 6min walk test （6MWT）, and its correlation with plasma level of brain natriuretic peptide （BNP） and NYHA class. 6MWT can be used for rehabilita- tion guidance, improve exercise tolerance and assess their cardiac function and prognosis, etc. in patients with heart failure.
