高等教育现代化具有丰富的内涵,植根在我国的社会土壤中,具有民族性、现代性与人本性特征。由于我国高等教育起步较晚,发展基础薄弱,且制度性障碍显著,造成我国高等教育在效能、质量、投入等方面同发达国家存在较大差距。为此,需要有效推进高等教育治理现代化,牢固把控高等教育质量关,推动高等教育的全面改革,加快高等教育的国际化发展步伐。

Higher education modernization has rich connotation, rooted in the social soil of our country, with the charateristics of nationality, modernity and human-oriented. Because of the late start of higher education in China, the development foundation is weak, and the institutional obstacles are remarkable, which makes the higher education in our country have a big gap with the developed countries in terms of efficiency, quality and investment. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the modernization of higher education governance, control the quality of higher education, promot the comprehensive reform of higher education, and accelerat the internationalization of higher education development.
