根据《门户开放报告》的相关数据显示,近十年来,中国高校赴美留学学生总人数持续增长,但增速明显放缓;本科生规模发展迅速,并最终超过了研究生;在专业选择方面,存在着明显的扎堆现象;中国高校赴美留学学生占美国高校国际学生的比例呈逐年上升态势,且自2009/2010学年起已经连续7年成为美国高校第一大国际生源国。展望未来,中国高校赴美留学有以下趋势:赴美留学开始由高速增长进入平缓增长时期;本科生成为赴美留学的主力军,赴美留学的低龄化趋势将进一步凸显;实习(培训)生项目将成为赴美留学的新热点;STEM专业依然是主流,同时学生的专业选择由就业导向向兴趣导向转变。

According to the data of Open Door Report, over the decade, the total number of Chinese college students studying in the United States has been increasing continually, but the growth rate has been slowing down significantly, and the scale of the undergraduate develops rapidly and exceeds the graduate. It is obvious that the choice of the profession is focused together. The proportion of Chinese college students accounting for the international students in the United States has risen year by year and China has become the largest international student source in the United States for 7 years since 2009/2010. Looking forward to the future, the trends are as follows ： the era for high- speed growth of Chinese college students studying in the United State has come to an end and the growth has entered the gentle period. The undergraduate will be the main force of Chinese college students studying in the United States and the trend of younger age will be more obvious. The ＂OPT＂ program will be a new hot spot. The profession like STEM is still the mainstream, meanwhile students will choose the profession according to their interests.
