The heat treatment process for the large Nb_3Sn CICC type superconducting coil

摘要 中科院强磁场科学中心已成功设计研制出800mm口径的大型Nb_3Sn CICC型超导线圈。由于Nb_3Sn CICC型外超导磁体在制作过程中必须经过高温反应热处理,其热处理的质量直接决定外超导磁体的超导性能。本文通过对Nb_3Sn的热处理工艺的研究,最终确定了热处理前布置与安装测温热电偶的工艺方法、最佳热处理工艺制度的制定和热处理中杂质气体的控制工艺,以及长时间热处理过程可能发生的各种故障的工艺处理措施等。 High Magnetic Field Laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CHMFL) has designed and manufactured a bore of 800mm larger Nb3 Sn Cable - in - Conduit Conductors (CICC) successfully. The Nb3 Sn CICC type superconducting outsert must be subjected to high temperature heat treatment process during manufacture, and the heat treatment process determines the superconducting properties of the superconducting outsert. Based on the study of the heat treatment process of Nb3 Sn, we determined the technology for arranging and installing temperature measuring thermocouples before heat treatment, the formulation of optimum heat treatment schedule, the control process of impurity gas in heat treatment, the handling measures for various failures that might occur during long -time heat treatment and so on finally.
