摘要
材料综合实验作为一门专业实验课程,不仅有助于加深学生对核心概念的理解,更有助于培养学生动手解决实际问题的能力。探讨了国际化教育背景下材料综合实验课程的全英文教学模式,并与ABET认证中学生学习成效的考核进行对应比较,分析了这种全英文模式的可行性和优势,初步发现该模式可行性高,可以实现教学内容的阶梯式递进,并且有利于实现教学质量的持续改进,促进学生有效沟通能力、团队合作能力和自主创新能力的提高。
Materials Laboratory is designed to provide the knowledge and hand-on experience for students majored in materials science and engineering, to plan and conduct experimentation, and to gain further understanding on key concepts in various core courses. It also cultivates students' abilities to solve practical problems and to communicate in a professional manners. This paper explores a teaching mode of English-only Materials Laboratory under the background of international education. Judged with ABET student outcomes, this mode shows its feasibility and advantages. It helps the progressive conduction of course content and prompts the teaching quality continuously. By this approach, the course objectives are achieved, and the students' comprehensive capabilities are improved.
