A Reflection on MOOC'S Development Based on Neil Postman's Media Ecology

波兹曼的媒介理论有三个主要方面:媒介隐喻论;技术垄断论;媒介教育论。媒介隐喻论警示网络媒介对教育"隐喻"式的破坏性定义;技术垄断论强调应当反思MOOC和SPOC中表现出的对技术的崇拜倾向;媒介教育论则提供了一条能够充分发挥网络媒介优势并且与大学传统课堂教学协调发展的途径。波兹曼的媒介教育或者媒介素养教育论对MOOC的发展提供了有意义的课题和新的方向。

Postman＇s Media Ecology mainly consists of media metaphor theory, technomonopoly theory, and media education theory. The media metaphor theory warns the damage of network media to education. The technomonopoly theory emphasizes to reflect on the worship tendency in MOOC and SPOC while the media education theory provides a path giving full play to the advan- tages of network media and developing in harmony with college traditional class teaching. Postman＇ s Media Ecology provide a worth-studying project as well as a new perspective for the development of MOOC.
