The Distribution and Characteristics of Paper-Cutting in Northern Shaanxi

陕北各地区自然环境、人文环境和民俗文化方面存在一定差异,使得剪纸创作也形成了三个不同区域和风格的剪纸作品。延安南部剪纸、陕北黄土高原中部剪纸和榆林北部长城一线剪纸各具特色,反映了当地丰富多彩的民间艺术和民俗文化。

There are some differences in natural environment, humane environment and folk culture in different regions of northern Shaanxi, which makes paper-cutting creations also feature three different regions and styles of paper-cutting works. Southern Yanan paper-cutting, central northern Shaanxi Loess Plateau paper-cutting and Northern Yulin paper-cutting around the Great Wall area have their own characteristics, reflecting the colorful local folk art and folk culture.
