Goodness from Personal to Social——a Study of Bacon's Political Ethical Thought

培根一生努力争取个人政治权力与地位,甚至为了获取政治权力而不惜谄媚与负义,并背负恶名;培根追求政治权力并不是仅仅为了满足个人的贪欲和虚荣,而是为了"科学的进步",归根结底是为了社会的进步。培根政治伦理思想具有时代的印记,也受到前人的影响,具有典型的实用主义特点,也带有培根作为学者对政治认识的理想主义的特点。培根用他一生的政治经历丰富和实践了他的政治伦理观念,并通过其著作阐释和升华了他的政治伦理思想。

Bacon strived for personal political power and the status even at the expense of flattery and ingratitude,and bore the stigma,in order not only to satisfy his greed,but to pursue the"scientific progress". With the imprint of times,Bacon's political ethics was also influenced the predecessors' pragmatism and his idealism. He enriched and practiced his political ethical thought with his political experience,and interpreted and distilled them with his works.
