婉约之中见深沉——南社词人庞树柏的创作论

Profoundness in Elegance——Discussion on Nanshe Poet PANG Shubai's Composition Theory

庞树柏是南社著名的词人,是南社成立之初唐宋诗词之争的主角之一,他与柳亚子观念相左,柳亚子称其"固墨守南宋门户"。但通读他的词作却发现他学词来源广泛,溯南宋姜夔、张炎而上,融合苏、辛,追摹唐代温庭筠,词风虽以婉约为主,但暗含激越情怀。他在词的创作中重于音律、强调用词、善于赋笔,看似玩艳的文字中饱含着对家国之变的一腔深沉,在晚清民国的词坛上写下重要的一笔。

Famous Nanshe poet PANG Shubai played a key role in the controversy over Tang vs. Song poetry at Nanshe＇s founding stage. He was criticized by LIU Yazi for＂stubborn adherence to Southern Song School＂,due to their literary disagreement.But a careful reading of PANG＇s poems reveals the extensive resources for his Ci style,tracing straight back to JIANG Kui and ZHANG Yan in the Southern Song Dynasty. As his style integrates that of SU Shi and XIN Qiji in the Northern Song Dynasty and WEN Tingyun in the Tang Dynasty,his Ci poems were mostly elegant and restrained,yet not without intense passion. He especially emphasized musical rhythm,diction and metaphor. Under the superficial gorgeousness and vulgar exaggeration,he expressed his profound commitment to the country＇s fate,which was by no means to be neglected in the late Qing Dynasty and the early period of the Republic of China.
