蒯因与塞拉斯的科学哲学思想异同探论

On the similarities and Differences between Quin and Sellars's Philosophy of Science

作为西方重要分析哲学家的蒯因与塞拉斯,他们俩的整体主义与本体论承诺,以及科学实在论等等思想,都是西方现代科学哲学中不可或缺的宝贵资源。但是,如果从捍卫差异性,探寻相通性的原则出发,并且深入地分析蒯因与塞拉斯的科学哲学思想,那么,他们俩既有与理性和科学精神结盟,致力于推翻思辨的形而上学和消除哲学上的神秘性等分析哲学家们的共同之处,又有如蒯因的本体论承诺与塞拉斯的日常影像等在科学对象、科学方法与途径方面的认知差异。在探究蒯因和塞拉斯的科学哲学思想同与异的基础上,论证了蒯因与塞拉斯他们俩在西方现代科学哲学领域里的作用与贡献。

As important analytic philosophers in the west,the thoughts of Quine and Sellars,the holism and ontology on commitment,and scientific realism and so on,are indispensable precious resource in Western Philosophy in modern science. However,if starting from defending the differences and exploring the similarity principle,and deeply analyzing their philosophy of science,we found that they have the integration of the rational and scientific spirit and the common ground of analysis philosophers in dedicating to the overthrow of speculative metaphysics and elimination of philosophical mystery,as well as the cognitive differences between Quine＇s ontological commitment and Sellars＇ daily image in the scientific object and scientific methods and ways. On the basis of exploring the similarities and differences of philosophy of science between Quine and Sellars,the article demonstrates the role and contribution of them in the field of modern western philosophy of science.
