摘要
英语冠名构式的语义多且复杂,文献中常见对其定指义和特指义的习得及教学研究,而忽视了对其类指义的系统考察。在归纳英语冠名构式四类九种类指形式的基础上,基于概念转喻的视角提出冠名构式,是以局部转喻整体、以特征转喻范畴,然后依据类指义的抽象度、使用频率和适用语境范围,尝试性地提出九种冠名构式类指能力的大小排序,这对英语冠名构式类指义的二语习得难度和顺序预测有重要意义。
The meanings of the article nominal constructions are multiple and complex. There are more studies about the acquisition and teaching of their definiteness and specificity in the literature, ignoring the systematic research on their generic meanings. After summarizing the 4 types and 9 kinds of English article nominal constructions, the present study, from the perspective of conceptual metonymy, proposes they are metonymic from part to whole and from properties to categories and then puts forward the ranking of the generic capability of the 9 constructions based on the abstract degree, usage frequency and usage scope of their generic meanings, hoping to help predict their difficulty and acquisition order of the generic meanings of the article nominal constructions in second language acquisition.
