A Study on Stage Inscriptions

舞台题记广泛遗存于乡间庙宇或会馆中的建筑物之上,真实记录了民间演剧活动,是研究戏曲史的重要资料。20世纪80年代以来,随着众多舞台题记的发现,对于舞台题记的研究已经历个案性整理研究、区域性整理研究、理论性研究三个阶段,逐步向深入发展。但因舞台题记自身的特殊性,还存在一些较为重要的问题,需从社会、文化、民俗、演剧等不同角度,以多元化的方法予以研究,以彰显其所具有的价值。

The stage inscription remains broadly in country temples or guild buildings, which truly records the opera performance and is regarded as the essential material to study the history of drama. From 1980s, the study on the stage inscription has endured three periods of case, regional and theoretical studies with the gradual discovery of more and more stage inscriptions. In view of the particularity of the stage inscription, what its value manifests lies on the research on its some important issues from plural perspectives such as society, culture, folk custom and stage performance.
