中国当代书籍设计的现代性品质构建——以吕敬人和朱赢椿的设计实践为例

Construction of the Modernity on the Design of Contemporary Chinese Books: Take the Works of Lu Jingren and Zhu Yingchun as an Example

中国当下的书籍设计有了长足发展与进步,但仍无法回答如何实现自我身份的认同、完成具有个性与特色的现代性品质塑造问题。文章回顾了中国现当代书籍在现代性品质实现中的两个重要阶段——发展初期(清末民初的积极探索)和发展中期(改革开放后的持续努力);以吕敬人和朱赢椿的设计实践为例,探讨了构建中国当代书籍设计现代性品质的三个路径:以民族文化为基石进行现代性设计、形成具有创新力的现代本土设计范式、弘扬中式美学。当书籍设计界通过群体努力将书籍设计方法、观念、范式等形成系统的、有特色的设计体系时,中国当代书籍设计现代性品质就能得到实现。

There has been considerable development and progress when it comes to the design of Chinese contemporary books. Still, such problems cannot be ignored as how to identify oneself, how to embody one＇s personality and modernity. This passage firstly reviews the two important stages in which the modern quality is well realized in the design of Chinese contemporary books, that is, initial development period（the active exploration in Qing dynasty）and continuance development（continuous efforts after the reform and opening up）. Then by citing the design practices made by Lv Jingren and Zhu Yingchun as an example, the article points out the approaches to help realize the modern quality： national culture should be the base, the design should be localized and creative, thus the promotion of Chinese aesthetic can be achieved. Only after the design industry tries to make the design methods, design conceptions and design patterns systematic and distinctive, can the design of modern quality be accomplished.
