摘要 基于韩礼德系统功能语言学而兴起的多模态语篇分析是当下语言研究的新领域。根据这一理论,纯文本语言不再是意义构建的唯一手段,图像、声音、色彩等其他符号也在建构意义,甚至能比语言更生动准确地向读者传达更多的信息。校徽是一所学校的明信片也是学校最形象的标志,蕴含着学校的治学理念和办学特色。作为高等院校中的特殊类别,民族大学校徽尤其蕴含着丰富的民族特性。本文运用多模态语篇分析方法探讨了民族大学校徽的多模态意义构建与传递,向读者展示了校徽的再现意义、互动意义和构图意义及民族大学校徽在多模态表述中的特质。 Multimodal discourse analysis is a new area of language researching which based on Halliday's Systemic Functional Grammar. In accordance with this theory, plain text is not the only method of meaning construction, but image, sound, color as well as other signs can also play an important role in meaning construction which can even transmit more information vividly and accurately than language. With the concept of study and school-running characteristics, school badge is an important part of school culture and which is the most direct and vivid symbol of a school. As a special type of high schools, school badge of University for Nationalities include abundant national characteristics. This thesis discusses the multimodal meaning construction and transmission of University for Nationalities with the method of multimodal discourse analysis. It demonstrates the representational meaning, interactive meaning and compositional meaning of school badge and the distinctive characteristics of school badge of University for Nationalities in multimodal description.
