Thoughts on the Development of “College of Volunteers”

志愿服务已经被诸多高校视为人才培养的重要环节。建设志愿者之校有助于培育大学生社会主义核心价值观、有助于提高大学生的综合素质,还可以为社会创造一定的经济效益,促进社会和谐,对于人才培养和社会建设都具有重要的现实意义。调查发现,建设志愿者之校存在志愿服务时间分布不均、项目类型相对单一、社会支持不够积极等问题。建设志愿者之校应加强志愿服务组织的建设、志愿服务项目的开发、志愿服务文化的培育以及志愿服务社会支持体系的构建。

Volunteer service has been regarded as an important part of talent development in colleges. Developing＂College of Volunteers＂contributes to cultivating socialist core values and improving overall quality of college students as well as to bringing about economic benefits to the society and promoting social harmony. It has practical significance in both talent development and social construction. Research shows,the development of ＂College of Volunteers＂still faces problems such as the uneven time schedule of voluntary services,the lack of diversity in service types,the inactive support from the society,etc.. The development of＂College of Volunteers＂should reinforce the establishment of volunteer organizations,the development of voluntary service projects,the cultivation of voluntary service culture,and the construction of a social supporting system.
