大学校名及其关键词的英译研究

近些年来,我国高校发展尤为迅速,高校作为社会人才培养的重要基地,对社会发展有着重要影响。通过对已经公布章程的大学校名英译分析发现,我国大学校名英译存在很大的统一性,同时也具有一定的差异性。很多大学都会将"学院"英译为"University",该翻译内容在大学校名英译中非常普遍。校名英译通常格式都是相同的,但前后翻译却存在一定的争议。在关键词翻译中,各大名校的处理形式都比较灵活,也更加贴近高校办学特色。

In recent years,the development of colleges and universities in China is particularly rapid. Colleges and universities as an important base for the training of social talents have an important impact on social development. By analyzing the English translation of the name of the college,we found that English translation of names of universities in China have great unity,but also have certain differences. Many universities translate the term＂学院＂into＂University＂,which is very common in the English translation of names in the university. The translation of names of the usual format is the same,but there are some disputes before and after translation. In the translation of key words,the processing styles of the major schools are more flexible and more close to the characteristics of the university.
