湖北襄阳市余岗墓地春秋墓葬

The Burials of the Spring-and-Autumn Period of the Yugang Cemetery in Xiangyang City,Hubei

2008年,襄阳余岗墓地的第四次发掘清理了11座保存较好的楚墓。这些墓均为长方形竖穴土坑墓,南向,无墓道。葬具为一椁一棺。随葬品有陶器、铜器和漆木器。根据出土器物形制推测墓葬年代集中于春秋中晚期。该墓地的东周时期墓葬以楚墓为主体,应是从属于楚国邓县的低等级贵族及庶民墓地。

In 2008, the fourth excavation to the Yugang Cemetery in Xiangyang recovered 11 burials of the Chu State in the Eastern Zhou Period. All of these burials were vertical earthen shaft pit burials heading south without passages, and the burial receptacles of them were one wooden coffin chamber and one wooden coffin. The grave goods unearthed from them were pottery wares, bronzes and lacquered and wooden wares. The styles of the unearthed grave goods showed that the dates of these burials were concentrated in the mid and late Spring-and-Autumn Period. Most of the burials of the Eastern Zhou Period in this cemetery belonged to the Chu State, the occupants of which were the low-ranking aristocrats and commoners of the Deng District of the Chu State.
