The structure of flour mill and the principle of grind action brought by mill roller on materials when grinding were introduced, the research progress on the optimization control, the abrasion effect and the methods of reducing the temperature of the mill roller were discussed, the mechanical properties of mill roller were analysed, and the current research issues of mill roller were summarized in this overview, for the purpose of guiding practical application, and further look forward to the future research and development direction.
