The paper describes the necessity to rebuild the dam deformation monitoring facilities of Zhangze Reservoir. Through analyzing the present situation of the dam deformation monitoring facilities of this reservoir,it is deemed that the present monitoring facilities have not met the requirement of dam management and it is necessary to establish and perfect the better monitoring system and facilities by means of rebuilding and upgrading the present system and facilities.
