牙周炎患者基础治疗前后龈沟液中褪黑素、IL-1β水平的变化及临床意义

Levels of melatonin and IL-1β in gingival crevicular fluid with periodontitis before and after initial therapy

目的:检测分析牙周炎患者龈沟液中褪黑素、IL-1β水平的变化与牙周临床指标的关系。方法:用ELSIA法检测牙周炎患者牙周基础治疗前及治疗6周后龈沟液中褪黑素、IL-1β水平,分析褪黑素、IL-1β与探诊深度(PD)、探诊出血(BOP)、附着丧失(CAL)的相关性。结果:牙周基础治疗前,牙周炎患者龈沟液中褪黑素、IL-1β水平均高于治疗后(P<0.05)。治疗前褪黑素水平与PD、BOP均呈正相关(r=0.465,r=0.736),IL-1β水平与PD、BOP也均呈正相关(r=0.350,r=0.541),褪黑素水平与IL-1β水平呈正相关(r=0.442);治疗后褪黑素、IL-1β水平与各项牙周指标无相关性(P>0.05)。结论:牙周炎患者龈沟液中褪黑素水平与牙周炎症严重程度具有相关性。牙周治疗对龈沟液中褪黑素表达水平有明显影响。

AIM: To investigate the melatonin and IL-1β levels before and after initial therapy and their relationship with clinical parameters of chronic periodontitis. METHODS: The levels of melatonin and IL-1β were detected by ELISA,correlation between melatonin,IL-1β and clinical indicators probing depth( PD),bleeding on probing( BOP) and clinical attachment loss( CAL) were analyzed. RESULTS: The level of melatonin before initial therapy in gingival crevicular fluid was higher than that after therapy( P < 0. 05). There was a positive correlation between the level of melatonin and both PD and BOP( r = 0. 465,r = 0. 736). IL-1β was positively correlated with PD( r = 0. 350,r = 0. 541),and melatonin was positively correlated with IL-1β( r = 0. 442). CONCLUSION: The level of melatonin in gingival crevicular fluid in periodontitis patients is correlated with the severity of periodontitis. Periodontal treatment has a significant effect on melatonin expression in gingival crevicular fluid.
