This paper discusses the definition of open science,and analyzes its characteristics based on the threedimensional model of open science, as well as the influence and opportunity of library under the environment of open science.It points out that the goal of open science is to set new norms of research activities to promote the new development of science and technology, academic research and industrial culture.And open science is an inevitable result.Libraries are the main enablers of open science.
