本区大地构造位置处于大兴安岭-蒙古褶皱区额尔古纳地块,额尔古纳隆起与上黑龙江凹陷及大兴安岭火山岩带复合部位,属漠河推覆体的前峰带北西侧,区内褶皱、断裂构造发育。推覆构造是一个强烈挤压、局部拉伸的构造活动区,控制着成矿热液活动、运移,并为矿液沉淀提供了有利空间。
