This paper describes the small structures,the prediction of coal measures and the interpretation of coal seam thickness in combination with practical applications. The basic principles of seismic attribute interpretation techniques and several problems to be noticed in application are discussed. Through the description of a few examples such as small fault,small collapse column,gas prediction and coal thickness,the application effects of seismic attribute interpretation techniques such as amplitude,frequency and variance body are proved.
