周棉先生主编的《中国留学生大辞典》,共收录美术类留学生小传近百人。限于当时的文献条件与电子检索水平,该书在人物小传中的生卒、籍贯、留学时间、学校学科等等方面,存在一些疏误之处。文章就美术类留学生小传中存在的问题,立足于当下的文献资料与电子检索水平,作了具体考订。

The Dictionary of Overseas Chinese Students edited by Mr.Zhou Mian contains a total of nearly 100 biographies of Art students,but there were some discrepancies in such aspects as the date of birth and death,birthplace,length of study,school disciplines and so on due to the literature conditions and the level of electronic retrieval.Thus this article made a detailed examination and revision based on the current literature and electronic retrieval.
