论元功能在徐志摩翻译演说词中的实现

On the Realization of Metafunctions in Xu Zhimo's Speech Translation

徐志摩不仅是一位诗人还是一位翻译家,他翻译了泰戈尔访华期间发表的演说词。以此为研究对象,本文引入系统功能语法中的元功能理论,从元功能的三个方面即概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能入手,采用描述性翻译研究的方法,对徐志摩翻译的泰戈尔演说词中这三个元功能的实现情况进行比较,发现在徐志摩的译本中元功能都基本得以实现,但也存在一些差异性,通过对这些差异进行对比分析挖掘出了导致这些差异的原因,从而检验了元功能理论对于翻译研究与实践的指导意义。

Xu Zhimo,not only a poet but also a translator,translated the speeches delivered by Tagore in China. Based on that,this paper analyzes Xu Zhimo's speech translation in light of metafunctions proposed in the systemic functional grammar,compares the realization of three metafunctions,ideational,interpersonal and textual functions,in the original texts with the descriptive translation studies,and finds that the metafunctions are basically realized in Xu's speech translation. But for the unrealized,through comparision and analysis,this paper figures out the detailed reasons for the varasion and finally testifies the applicability of metafunctions in speech translation.
