Value of Nature of Wang Yangming's Theory and Strengthening Conscience and Faith

王阳明生于明朝有担当情怀的仕宦之家。其面对明中叶八股取士、理论严重脱离社会实际,国弱官腐、民不聊生之颓局,决意挽狂澜、拯人心。王阳明提出了"知行合一""致良知""心即理""亲民"等思想学说,其实质是巩固中国人良心信仰的思想改革,并影响中国与韩、日等国家500余年。今日对其创造性传承、创新性发展,大有养心明志、巩固良心信仰、构建和谐社会之价值。

Wang Yangming was born in an official family of Ming Dynasty.In mid-Ming Dynasty,talents were selected by a simple format examination which is called ＂Bagu＂ ,and theories were separated from social realities.The nation was weak and filled with official corruption.Life was impossible for the people,so Wang Yangming decided to do something and salvage the corrupt minds.He had proposed a series of theories such as ＂the unity of knowing and doing＂ ＂extension of intuitive knowledge＂ ＂the mind is principle＂ and ＂caring for the people＂ .The nature of these theories was actually reforms to strengthen the conscience and faith of Chinese people,which had influenced China,Korea and Japan for over 500 years.Today the creative inheritance and development of the theories are valuable for cultivating the mind,strengthening conscience and faith as well as constructing harmonious society.
