Ceramic artist Jennifer McCurdy lives on Maria Isle of Massachusetts, USA, and has been engaged in ceramics for over thirty years. In her past creations, she has been focusing on the analysis of structural problems. For example, how thin is the wall of the porcelain before it is calcined at high temperature? How many parts can be reduced while still maintaining the integrity of the structure? How to make a perfect combination of structural form and visual aesthetics? How profound and lasting are the relationship between the performance of potters and change of the kiln fire and the result of the final presentation of the work?Such explorations are almost the main constituent parts of Jennifer Mccurdy’s artistic creation.
