长久以来,人们都会透过佩戴首饰,来彰显自己的身份地位与财富。发展到上世纪七○年代,当代首饰开始结合工艺和设计,注重思想的注入,以关注概念性和叙事性为特色。最突出的表现是,在材料选择上更为广泛和自由。从石膏、水泥、木头、纺织品到纸张、瓷泥,甚至是回收的旧废弃物,即使是人们熟知的贵金属或者宝石,也都很少以传统造型亮相。
People always wear jewelry to highlight their status and wealth. Until the 1970 s,contemporary jewelry began to combine craftsmanship and design, the focus on the injection of cogitation make the conceptual and narrative features unique. The most prominent manifestation is that the material selection is more extensive and free. From the gypsum, cement wood, textiles to the papers and porcelain clay, as well as the recycled waste. Even the well-known precious metals or gemstone are rarely seen in the traditional form. As far as ceramic jewelry are concerned,when they become the wearable items, it is like being injected with a new life. This also brings in disruptive conceptual changes and alternative experiences.
