Trans Century Higher Education Reform in China

跨世纪的中国高等教育大改革主要包括管理体制改革、高校招生改革、教学改革三个方面。通过合并院校、缴费改革等，高等教育管理体制打破了条块分割，实现了条块有机结合和资源优化配置。高考改革突出能力和素质的考查、设置综合能力科目考试、进行网上录取。表彰教务处、进行教学评估、出版近1000本“面向2l世纪教学内容和课程体系改革计划”教材是跨世纪教学改革的主要内容。

The Trans-Century Higher Education Reform is primarily reflected in three aspects.Firstly,in terms of the reform of management system,the merger of universities and the payment reform significantly decrease the compartmentalization and optimize the allocation of resources. Secondly,the reform of college enrollment was carried out in some aspects such as the emphasis on comprehensive assessment of quality,the establishment of comprehensive subject examination,and the implementation of on line admission. Thirdly,the reform of teaching includes the performance assessment of Office of Academic Affairs,the teaching quality assessment,and the publication of some one thousand textbooks on the teaching reform.
