杨梅是特产于中国南方的一种水果,至今在浙江、福建山区仍有大量的野生种分布。根据考古资料和相关文献记载,它可能起源于长江中下游地区,至今有2000多年的栽培史。浙江可能是比较早栽培杨梅并在宋代已经形成产业的省份。

Chinese Waxmyrtle is a special fruit produced in South China,there are still a lots of wild Waxmyrtle in the mountainous areas of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces.According to the archaeological information and related literatures,Chinese Waxmyrtle probably originated in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River with more than two thousand years of cultivation history.Zhejiang perhaps was a province in which Chinese Waxmyrtle was earlier cultivated and became a new fruit industry in the Song dynasty.
