地方文献典籍是一个地方历史文化的积淀与见证,抢救、保护、整理、出版、研究地方文献典籍是重要的文化工程。当前地方文献典籍在收集、保护、出版和开发利用方面存在许多不足,需加大收集力度,推进数字化保护和成果出版;进一步促进开发利用,推进宣传普及和文化创新。

The local ancient books and records are the witnesses of local historical culture. It is viewed as an important cultural project to save, protect, collate, publish and research the local ancient books and records. This paper takes the first and second phase in compiling ＂The Guangzhou Dictionary＂ as an example, and discusses the current situation, significance, existing problems and suggestions of compiling and utilizing local ancient books and records.
