摘要
语言的装饰功能是指语言文字有时并不表达任何实际的含义,只是充当一种装饰性的符号。语言装饰功能的提出,深化了对于语言功能的认识。房地产广告中英语符号的使用特别能体现语言的装饰功能。实证分析了合肥房地产广告英语文本在标点、词法、句法和篇章各个层面存在的种种失范现象,说明此时的英语符号不为表情达意,只是充当装饰符号。分析了滥用语言装饰功能的危害,提醒避免伤害语言的表意功能和语言使用者的形象。
The decorative function of language means that language sometimes does not express any actual meaning,but only acts as an ornamental symbol. The proposition of the decorative function of language deepens the understanding of language functions. The decorative function of language is thoroughly represented in the English texts of real estate advertising. The empirical analysis of the English texts of Hefei real estate advertising was carried out in the punctuation symbols,and the lexical,syntactic and textual levels,to show that the English symbols used do not mean to express concrete meanings but to act as decorative signs. The abuse of the decorative function was analyzed,to remind that the relevant personnel should not abuse the decorative function,but should prevent damage to the language user's image and the ideographic function of language.
