Exploring the Road of Modern Chinese Art——Research on Chinese Painting Association(1932-1948)

中国画会是一个在民国时期具有广泛影响的美术社团,也是当时规模最大、画会历史最悠久的艺术团体。作为一个以国画为主的美术社团,在当时动荡的时代背景下不仅积极致力于提升中国画的国际地位,在民族文化复兴运动中起到了重要作用,同时利用书画助赈等方式救济难民,支持义勇军,用艺术拯救国家。目前学界对中国画会的研究严重缺乏,文章将从组织结构、社会影响、学术成就等方面对中国画会进行较为全面研究,以期重新确立中国画会在美术史中的重要地位。

Chinese Painting Association is an art community which has an extensive influence in the period of Republic of China.It was the largest art organization,and its history was also the longest.What＇s more,it played a pivotal role in the national cultural renaissance as an art community which was based on Chinese painting,and actively committed to enhancing the international status of Chinese painting.Facing the turbulent society,they use paintings to relieve the refugees,support the army of volunteers and save the country with art.Due to serious lack of research on Chinese Painting Association,this research will give a full play from the perspective of organization system,social influence and academic achievement to help Chinese Painting Association occupy an important position in the history of Chinese modern art again.
