摘要
癫痫是由大脑神经元异常性发电导致的阵发性大脑功能障碍的慢性神经系统疾病。兴奋性和抑制性神经递质的失衡可能是癫痫发病的主要机制之一。神经肽Y(NPY)作为一种内源性抑制神经肽与癫痫发生发展关系密切,而NPY对神经元的保护作用更使其成为抗癫痫多肽,对癫痫新药物的开发和基因治疗均有着重要意义。
Epilepsy is a kind of chronic neurological diseases induced by abnormal discharge in neurons. The unbalance between excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters might be involved in mechanism of epileptogenesis. As an endogenous inhibitory neuropeptide, neuropeptide Y has been closely related to seizures. NPY is an important peptide as its neuroprotective function, and also has antiepileptic effect and is extremely meaningful for developing anti-epileptic medicine as well as genetic therapy.
