The design of the fruit vending machine based on PLC control was introduced, including working principle, the hardware selection and software design of the equipment. The software design includes the distribution of the I/0 port,the drawing of the program diagram and the compiling of the ladder diagram. Through the design ,the vending machine can meet the requirements of the final design to deal with the different currency customers input, sell varieties of fruits and give change. The designed fruit vending machine is mainly used for automatic vending of fruits in large flow area. It has practica- bility ,and the design idea of this vending machine can also be extended to other types of vending machines.
