As to a new type of environmentally-friendly furan resin, i.e., Muxiang resin, its characters and applications were introduced. Processing properties of the Muxiang resin were analyzed. From the analysis it was indicated that the Muxiang resin exhibited good processing properties, and thereby, concentration of pollutants in air in production area would be obviously reduced. Advantages of the Muxiang resin over conventional furan resin, problems encountered in the production and measures removing them were introduced.
