现代社会赋予了奥林匹克独特而鲜明的象征性符号形式——奖牌,其具有的社会性、系统性、动态性及多模态性属性决定了奥运奖牌不只是表象,而承载的社会意义才是符号载体的深刻反映。从奥运奖牌的本质出发,以社会符号学理论为基础,深入剖析奥运奖牌所蕴含的政治、经济、教育、文化多元社会价值,不仅有助于更好地了解奥林匹克文化,而且有助于理解奥运奖牌透视出的象征性的社会意义。

Modern society gives the unique and distinct symbolic form for Olympic-MEDAL, whose social, systematic, dynamic and modal nature determines that the Olympic medal is not just repre- sentation, but has deep social significance borne by the symbol carrier. This study from the essence of the Olympic medals, based on social semiotics theory as the foundation, made an in-depth analy- sis of the political, economic, educational and muhicultural value of Olympic medals, which can help better understand not only the Olympic culture, but also the symbolic social significance behind the medals.
