Study on the Social Functions of Technological Societies in Contemporary Developed Country

从政府失灵理论出发,根据组织角色理论和组织功能理论,在分析当代发达国家典型科技社团社会功能的基础上,提出了当代科技社团所具有的五大社会功能,即凝聚学术共同体,提供专业服务;促进科学技术研究,引领科技创新;开发专业技术标准,实施专业认证;扩散科技知识;促进经济与社会发展。

Based on the theory of government gailure, organization role and organization function, this paper examined the social functions of some typical technological societies in the developed countries, proposed five social functions of them, such as establishing academic community and providing professional service, advancing scientific and technological research and leading the future of technology innovation, developing the industrial standards and carrying professional certification, diffusing the scientific and technological knowledge, boosting the development of economy and the society.
