These articles apply historical ma- terialism to studies of the academic and intellectual history of the Qing Dynasty as well as of the history o{ the dynasty, accurately analyze and elaborately examine some maior historical events and prominent historical figures of the Qing Dynasty and focus on traditional and contemporary cultural studies, embodying Wang Junyi＇s life experience, scholarly research and ideas that value honoring teachers and esteeming truth and assisting younger generation scholars. Though the book is not free from deficiencies, its academic value is worthy of reference.
