This paper introduces Chinese and abroad market situation of 1,4-butanediol（ BDO） and downstream industrial chains,and analyzes emphatically the purposes and research progresses of propargyl alcohol,1,4-butylene glycol and 3-butylene-1-alcohol,which are all in the industrial chains of coal based BDO.
