The overall situation of triple play promotes the upgrading of fiber-to-the-home systems in rural cable television networks. The reconstruction of mains will cancel the cable lines, increase the number of optical nodes and make the television signals clearer and accelerate the development of networks. This article tries to discuss the construction characteristics and comprehensive solutions of FTTH from the aspects of the network coverage, construction cost, operation and maintenance difficulty.
