Moderate Inflation China＇s consumer price index （CPI） rose 1.5 percent year on year in January. The rate was down from December＇s 1.8 percent, according to National. Bureau of Statistics （NBS） data released on Februay 9. NBS statistician Sheng Guoqing primarily attributed the increase to carryover effects and rising non-food and service prices, which cl.imbed 2 percent and 2.3 percent year on year, respectively.
