It is widely accepted that in Chinese grammar, nouns cannot be modified by adverbs. However, in language practice, the phenomenon of adverbs of degree modifying nouns is becoming more and more popular. This article explores this phenomenon in three aspects: transformation of parts of speech, esthetic choice of language, and grammatical functions.
