摘要
本文在考察儿童母语习得机理的基础上,结合基于使用的语言习得观,提出外语学习的语句习得假说。语句是表达交际意图最基本的语言运用单位,总是出现在特定的语境中,因而外语学习应和母语学习一样,以语句为单位在使用中一句句学习。语句习得假说为研究外语学习者如何建立语言知识体系、提高语言运用水平提供了新的切入点。
Based on the children's L1 acquisition research and usage-based language acqmsluon meory, tnl~ pat,~ proposes the utterance hypothesis that foreign language is successfully learned through particular utterances in particu- lar contexts. It argues that utterances are the primary linguistic units of language use since they are used to express complete and coherent communicative intentions. The hypothesis points to a new direction for the research on how for- eign language learners acquire language knowledge and develop language proficiency.
