The characteristics, filtering meehanisnl and working condition application of needling felt filter materials were described, and the importance of water-repellent and oil-proof treatment for needle filter materials under special working conditions was explaited. The key points of technnlogy during needling and after treatment for the water repellent and oil proof needling lelt filter products, as well as the process and its impovation points and the ,arrangement of equipment, were introduced. The water repellent and oil proof needling felt filter materials possessed the fatures including hydrolysis resistanee and anti aeid-alkali corrosion, so they were the first ehoiee for the application under conditions containing water, oil, wet and dust.
