摘要
标记存在于语调的横向组合结构和纵向聚合系统中。对英语特殊疑问句的语调进行分析,考察"调群切分"、"调核位置"、"调型"等纵向层面和"调头"、"调核"等横向层面中的标记情况,有利于区分出有标记项和无标记项,或强标记项和弱标记项。教学者可以利用标记与语言习得的关系,根据特殊疑问句及其他句型中构建的标记连续统,设计语调教学的顺序和重难点。
Markedness exists in both the horizontal and the vertical levels of intonation. This paper is concerned with the markedness of intonation as in the case of English WH - questions, specifically, the markedness in "Tonality" "Tonicity" and "Tone" at the vertical level and the markedness in "head" and nucleus" at the horizontal level.
