On the Ideological Features and Educational Ideas of Ganquan School

甘泉学派是明代著名哲学家、教育家湛若水创立的思想流派。该学派思想风貌表现为三大方面:其一,以"随处体认天理"为心学旨趣;其二,扬弃其师陈白沙"静中养出端倪"的为学工夫;其三,改造不事著述的学术传统,形成既述且作、寓作于述、教学相长、交互问学的传学方式。甘泉学派的教育理念,一言以蔽之,就是围绕"随处体认天理"的心学宗旨,采用"二业合一"论的教育原则,启发诱导,让学生各尽其用而成为一个德才兼备的社会栋梁。

Ganquan School was a School of thought founded by a famous philosopher and educator Zhan Ruoshui in Ming Dynasty. The School 's ideological features were manifested in three aspects: first, this School took"appreciating the natural principles everywhere"as its Mind philosophy purport; second,Zhan Ruoshui develpoed and discarded his teacher Chen Baisha's "cultivate one' s natural merits in the whisht"attainment theory; third,Ganquan School reformed the academic tradition of Jiangmen School which had no intention of writing and compiling,then formed a new way of imparting knowledge that is both narrating and creating,creating goes together with narrating, teaching-learning promoting each other and interactive inquiry and study. Ganquan School educational ideas,to sum up,was around its "appreciating the natural principles everywhere"Mind philosophy aim,adopted "the theory of unity of individual virtues cultivation and imperial examination attendance"educational principle,enlightening and inducing,to enable the students to meet the social needs and become the backbone of the society with both ability and virtue.
